Holiday Planner

WeAreHolidays is looking for travel planners to plan experiential holidays for its customers. We would love to interview you, especially if you have the following qualities

• Friends and family always make you (yes, you gurudev!) in-charge of planning all the trips

The ideal candidate for this profile will be someone

The incumbent would be expected to create and plan holiday itineraries for the customer over the phone. This position will be based full time at Delhi. Visual/Interaction Designer

Ideal candidate will be a thorough professional and should be able to handle visual design with understanding and appreciation of interaction design, information architecture and user experience.

Key Responsibilities :

• Work on the layout, visual appearance and usability of the web site. Ensure the designs are visually effective, easy to access & interact with and support the business goals and vision
• Work with product and business teams and translate product requirements and designbriefs into wireframes
• Iterate on the wireframes post formative and summative testing
• Work with different personas, user scenarios, UX specs, task flows, wireframes, site maps, storyboards, taxonomies, task flows, mockups, prototypes, visual designs and design patterns
• Have understanding of and be able to appreciate the advantages and disadvantages of the primary form factors, viz. desktop/laptop computers and mobile devices (primarily smart phones) and be able to design distinct user experiences for each of them
• Ensure designs are optimized for different form factors, browsers, resolutions etc.
• Coordinate with outsourced design partners/freelancers and act as a audit and QA function for them
• Work on low and high fidelity mockups on paper
• Work with developers and testers to make sure what's designed gets translated in code

The ideal candidate for this profile will be someone

• With at least 2 years of relevant work experience in web design
• A graduate/post graduate from a recognized university/college
• Proficient in Adobe Master Collection CS5 (Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator etc.), SQL, ASP/ PHP and Macromedia
• Working knowledge of technologies such as CSS, HTML, JS, AJAX is an added advantage
• In tune with current web design trends and techniques and upcoming trends
• Has a showcase of strong online portfolio of user centred web design
• Attention to detail and creative approach to problem solving

Front End Developer

We're looking for a passionate web developer (HTML/CSS/JS/AJAX/JSP/JQuery). Someone who can seamlessly marry technology and design. Someone who is a HTML, CSS & JavaScript fanatic and a design enthusiast.

Ideal candidate will be a thorough professional and should be able to handle front end development, and has appreciation for interaction design, information architecture and user experience.

Key Responsibilities :

• Create the front end of the application. Ensure the interface is light, easy to access and supports the business goals and vision.
• Work with product and business teams and translate product requirements and design briefs/wireframes/visual designs into front end interfaces.
• Ensure interfaces are optimized for low latency and slow speed internet access. Pages need to be super responsive and light
• Have understanding of and be able to appreciate the advantages and disadvantages of the primary form factors, viz. desktop/laptop computers and mobile devices (primarily smart phones) and be able to create distinct user experiences for each of them
• Ensure pages are optimized for different form factors, browsers, resolutions etc.
• Ensure the pages are compatible across browsers and versions. Resolve cross browser compatibility issues.
• Coordinate with outsourced design partners/freelancers and act as a audit and QA function for them
• Ensure pages comply with SEO best practices for on page optimization

The ideal candidate for this profile will be someone

• With at least 3 years of relevant work experience in designing and implementing high performance web applications
• Ability to hand code HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JSP without requiring a clunky WYSIWYG editor
• Proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS, Advanced JavaScript, AJAX, JSP, JQuery
• Deep experience in designing modular, object-oriented JavaScript. Capable of writing advanced JavaScript without the comfort of plug and play plugins
• Familiar with optimization techniques (both in file weight and perceived/actual rendering speed), unit testing & debugging techniques, dynamic content retrieval, state management, accessibility techniques, device-portability techniques, internationalization issues, and version control software
• Added advantage - Java, Unix, Apache, JSON, XML
• Strong command of the HTTP protocol and the latest web standards
• Able to leverage advances in web technologies (HTML5, CSS3) to deliver innovative and path breaking products
• Added bonus for passionate hand coders who hate WSIWYG editors and enjoy writing lean, lightweight, standards-based markup

Content Writer

Ideal candidate will be a thorough professional and should be able to handle both copy and creative content writing.

Key Responsibilities :

• Write rich and original content to be published on the web primarily
• Work on content for product descriptions, travel itineraries, special features, newsletters and email marketing campaigns, blogs, marketing initiatives, etc. which would go beyond online web content
• Work on re packaging existing content
• Proof read and edit content
• Do a lot of secondary research and connect with real travellers to support travel content writing
• Mash up written content with pictures and videos to create engaging and rich content for readers
• Occasionally travel for special content projects
• Act as a audit function for all content going live on the site and perform QA
• Work pro actively to maintain consistency and relevancy of published content
• Maintain and regularly update all published content to keep it up to date and factually correct
• Coordinate with outsourced content partners/writers and act as a audit and QA function for them

The ideal candidate for this profile will be someone

• A graduate/post graduate from a recognized university/college
• Has excellent command over the English language and has impeccable grammar and punctuation
• Has a natural flair for writing. Is able to present complex things and jargons in simple and easy to understand language
