Situated very close to Charlotte Lake, Verandah in the Forest is a Neemrana hotel property and situated in the Barr House, built by one Captain Barr, an English officer, in the 19th century. Constructed in the colonial style, the mansion is tucked away in the Sahyadri ranges and surrounded by green-blanketed slopes. The old-world charm of the hotel is enhanced by the vintage interiors and antique furniture which includes four-poster beds, chaise lounges, chest of drawers and writing desks. Offering great views of the dense forest, the rooms are large, high-ceilinged and provide the guests with all modern necessities. The food served at the hotel is carefully prepared by experienced cooks and is guaranteed to delight your taste buds and satisfy your rumbling stomach. Although mostly a place to just sit around and wonder at the beauty of nature or read a book from the library, the hotel does provide for adventurous activities as well. Some of the activities that can be arranged for include trekking, horse riding and valley crossing.
