Phi Phi Overview

In the midst of the blue-green waters of the Andaman Sea, Phi Phi is a tiny archipelago, off the west coast of mainland Thailand. Approach the islands on a ferry, and the tall, near-vertical cliffs are what come into view first, followed by the dark green jungle and the white beach in front, presenting a sight, alluring and dream-like. The main, and only inhabited of the Phi Phi islands, Ko Phi Phi Don, comprises two islands connected by arched span of sand, creating two perfectly calm bays, whose waters teem with corals and fish, making them fantastic spots for those looking to snorkel and dive. Ko Phi Phi Leh, the second largest island of the group, has no residents and hence exudes a tranquility not easily found elsewhere. The other islands, Ko Mai Phai, Ko Yung, Bida Nok and Bida Nai are pocket-sized and not being too popular, pristine and perfect.
