Local Language

Thai is the official language of Bangkok but shopkeepers, vendors and taxi drivers understand basic English so communication won't be much of a problem. However, as anywhere else, people love a foreigner who is willing to try speak their language, hence it would be nice if you can use a few thai words during your stay at Thailand.
