Just 50km south of Barcelona, you’ll come upon rows of vineyards, producing aromatic sparkly whites and full-bodied reds. Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, in the region of Penedes, is undoubtedly the wine capital of Catalonia. October is the best time to visit as you can drown yourself in the festivities of the harvest season and attend the numerous tasting sessions.

Costa Brava

A popular tourist destination just 60km north-east of Barcelona. Situated on the French border and flanked by a beautiful coastline, the pleasant summer breezes and picturesque views make it an ideal getaway. Once you’ve had your fill of sun, sand and sangria, explore the quaint towns of Cadaques, Pals and Begur. Once frequented by Salvador Dali and Picasso, these places are now fashionable tourist resorts.

Andorra

A three-hour drive from Barcelona, enter the abode of mountains in the beautiful region of Andorra. Situated on the French-Spain border, it’s an ideal getaway both in summer and winter.
