Ranthambore National Park, located in the eastern part of Rajasthan is only 130 kms from Jaipur. Not just tigers, the Park has a huge and diverse collection of wildlife species . The park is a heavenly get-away for the naturalists and ornithologists, as it has got over 300 species of birds, 12 reptiles and 30 animal species. The Park is adjoined by two other sanctuaries, i.e. the Kaila Devi Sanctuary and the Mansingh Sanctuary.
Sariska National Park is a wildlife sanctuary, located at a distance of 107 kms from Jaipur. The Park has historic monuments and temples, which depict the legacy of the Maharajas of Alwar. Though, Sariska is most popular for tigers, many other wild animals too dwell here. Apart from other carnivores and herbivores, you can also gawk at Rhesus Monkeys. Sariska Palace, which has been converted into a heritage hotel, is also worth a visit.
