Malaysia

Malaysia offers the joys of two countries in one place. While the Malaysian peninsula is a multicultural assortment of Malay, Chinese and Indian flavors, Borneo hosts a wild jungle smorgasbord of orangutans, granite peaks and faraway tribes. Set in these two distinct areas, is a variety of experiences and spectacles for tourists. On one hand are the high-rises of Kuala Lumpur and on the other are the longhouse villages of Sarawak and the calm, powdery beaches of the Perhentian Islands. If you’re a foodie, you’re in for a real treat of delicious cuisines ranging from Chinese-Malay Nonya fare, to Indian curries, spicy Malay food stalls and even some great Western food. Malaysia revels in the cultural, ethnic and religious fusion that it gloriously hosts.

Singapore

Singapore is a deliciously neat cocktail of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western cultures. From its streets to its people, you will be amazed with the spotless images that you will encounter. It’s one of the safest and most organized countries in the world. The food here is amazing and inexpensive. Where you should be spending your money is in some of the fanciest shopping malls and stylish restaurants. You can also indulge in some outdoor activities such as walking, cycling and water sports. Or if you wish to explore the art scene, check out the arts galleried promoted by the government. Then of course there is the centre of the island that has sparkling reservoirs and leafy tracts of forest where all you will hear is monkey clatter.
