Uttar Pradesh is a state known the world over, almost singularly on account of being the home of one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal. Uttar Pradesh is also a treat for Hindu pilgrims. Ayodhya, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama, is situated on the banks of river Sarayu and has endless beautiful temples to its name. Mathura, birthplace of Lord Krishna attracts Krishna followers throughout the world while Sarnath is a city buzzing with Buddhist pilgrims.
