The temperature in Kathmandu varies widely by season- with pleasant and mild summers and cold winters. At an elevation of approximately 1300 metres, it never gets too hot here. Summer lasts from March to June, with temperatures averaging around 28°C - 30°C. June to August is the monsoon season. Winters can be cold, with temperatures averaging around 10°C and sometimes dropping as low as 3°C. In general, days are warm and pleasant while nights and mornings are cool.
Best time to visit Kathmandu is during spring and fall.
