The city experiences sub-tropical climate, with the altitude keeping the temperatures moderate. During summers, the temperature varies from 25 to 35 °C and during winters, temperatures take a dip and range from - 2 to 15 °C. December and January are the coldest.
When To visit
It is possible to trek along the Annapurna Circuit around the year, but monsoon seasons should be avoided. Summers are mild but a little humid. Most precipitation is received during July to September. The best time to travel is from September to November and in early May. May to August must generally be avoided.
