Brussels Tour & Travel Guide - Where to Shop in Brussels

The Royal Saint Hubert Galleries

The glass-domed, glazed shopping arcade in Brussels was constructed in 1847 as a beautiful covered gallery. Now one of Brussels’ most elite shopping areas, it comprises three parts- the Queen's Gallery, the King's Gallery and the Princes' Gallery. The complex houses boutiques, bookshops, cafés, restaurants, a theatre and a cinema, and is the first shopping arcade in Europe.

Avenue Louise

A long walk with famous fashion brands, including big international names like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Christian Dior. One of the most attractive shopping districts in the city, both prestigious as well as more affordable shops line these streets.

Sablon Market

Sablon is known not only for its beautiful church, but also its antique shops and the weekend markets. Find hidden gems at throwaway prices and test your bargaining skills. Browse along the shops of rue Blaes and rue Haute to see beautiful displays of antiques here.

Boulevard de Waterloo

One of the most well-known shopping streets in Brussels, very close to Avenue Louise. Big names, beautiful window displays and high end fashion. Perfect for an afternoon stroll and window shopping..

Rue Neuve

Find Europe’s favourite brands at this street- Espirit, Zara, Mango, Celio, Morgan and many more. You will also find the giant Media Markt here for all your electronic needs at bargain prices.

Galeries Louise and Toison d’Or

For slightly more affordable shopping at one of Brussels arcades, Galeries Louise or Galeries Toison d’Or in the Louise fashion district are good bets. Both have covered walk ways and are sheltered from the rain and sun, and allow for strolls along shop windows. Galeries Louise has several floors and a café area on the ground floor with about 4 different cafés.

Souvenirs

The Grote Market, leading to the Grand Place, is the ideal location for souvenir shopping. The street is lined with stalls selling trinkets and gifts to take home. Belgian specialties like beer and chocolates can be found at major supermarkets.
