This main square located in the centre of the town is the most popular spot to shop, sightsee and eat. You can easily spend a full-day exploring the sights in this area. There is a distinct Portugese feel to the architecture here, made all the more historic by the presence of the St Domingo’s Church at one end, and the Civil and Municipal Affairs Bureau building on the other. Clothes are the main items shopped for here. Senado Square is home to international high street brands, local labels as well as little shops that sell random bits and pieces. A number of narrow pebbled lanes trail off, and the shops flanking them mostly sell inexpensive items of all kinds.
The Red Market stands at the intersection of Avenida Almirante Lacerda and Avenida Horta e Costa, in an area that has some of Macau's most interesting 20th century architecture. Built in 1936 in the Art Deco style, this market made of red bricks is classified as an architectural heritage site. Trade is brisk with vendors selling fresh produce, fish, meat and dry food.
Located in the heart of Taipa Village, the stalls in this market are stacked close to each other. Unlike the air -conditioned mega-malls elsewhere, the market offers you an insight into the real Macanese way of life. it offers up some authentic vintage purchases that would make a good souvenir or addition to any collector's gallery. This market is the right place to try some authentic Macanese snacks, freshly baked pastries and egg tarts in particular.
Not just the biggest casino in Macau, the Venetian also has the biggest and most grandest collection of shops available.
