Panna National Park India is another green-brown corner in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is a reasonably well-maintained reservoir for Indian tigers. Close to Khajuraho and not much far from Bandhavgarh National Park, Panna is attracting an increasing number of tourists with each passing day. From the hyena to the sloth bear, from the chital to the sambar, you can spot a delicious variety of wildlife creatures out here. And if you are a bird-watcher, then don't lose heart! From the blossom headed Parakeet to the honey buzzard to the paradise flycatcher, you will come across birds of the kind and color you may have never heard or seen before. How to reach Panna National Park: Panna National Park can be reached through air, rail or road. If you are traveling by air, then you need to book a ticket to Khajuraho from where you can reach the forest through a car, bus or cab. Khajuraho is located at a distance of around 57 km from the park. Thus, the journey from Khajuraho to Panna could be easily traversed in a little over an hour. Alternatively, if you are traveling by train, then get down at Satna (the closest railway station situated at a distance of 90 km). From Satna, you would need to arrange a car or bus to reach the park. Timings: The Park is open for tourists during the months of October-June. The timings are from 6:30 am to 10:30 am and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Best time to visit Panna: The best time to visit Panna National Park and Panna National Park Tiger Reserve would be during the months of January-June. Though, the summer heat can be discomforting, the months of April-June offer the best opportunities to spot the tigers. Cost or entry fee: The breakdown of costs has been presented below a.
