Would you go to a hostile place just because it has fabulous mountains or exotic scenery? I guess not. It’s all about how welcome you feel in an unknown place. You might not understand the local language and fail to catch up with their hand gestures, but their warm smiles will make you feel welcome like nothing else.

Who wouldn’t want to wake up to pristine surroundings and gorgeous beaches every morning? No guesses for what makes Aucklanders the friendliest people on the planet. Surrounded by 53 volcanic peaks, a beautiful coastline and brilliant outdoor activities, you want to come back for more. It is said that the local’s view on life is something everyone should aspire to attain. Maybe it’s just the clean environment!
3. Victoria, Canada
A city where the old world meets the new, it never fails to impress with its old British charm and grandeur. Go skiing, visit a vineyard or simply walk along the streets and you’ll feel welcomed in one of its many cafes and restaurants. A great city if you wish to indulge in some fun family time.

Happiness is in going south, as proved by Charleston, a bright little city down south in the USA. 7. Siam Reap, Cambodia
Happiness is bound to be abundant in a land dominated by Buddhism. Known for their simple lifestyle, the Cambodians are an amazing community to be around. Great home-cooked food and down to earth living makes peace easy to attain around here.
8. Cape Town, South Africa
There is something about these southern cities, is it not? Perhaps it’s the sea or the beautiful winds or may be it’s in food of these lands that makes them so welcoming to an outsider. Mountains give way to the most delightful beaches followed by fabulous harbours; this city will welcome you with open arms.
