This isn’t a story for the weak hearted. Neither is it a story for lovers. There is treachery in it, and also a few excel sheets. This is the story of Gappu Swamy.
Historically, Gappu Swamy was a bright boy hoping to make his career in the field of travel writing. However, his atrocious grammar forces his manager at WeAreHolidays to only let him copy paste data on excel sheets. Enraged and vengeful, Gappu initially resorts to stealing tea cups from office. When he observes that people don’t seem to mind and are now drinking tea from glasses, dejected and hurt, one day Gappu leaves forever … with the office door.
The incident became so famous in history that soon the name became synonymous with any act of furniture stealing.

Deepak: Dude, your house does not have a door?!!!
Harkirat: Yeah, it was Gappy Swamyd a few weeks back.
Since, there was only that much time before we would realize that we did not have a door anymore, we are feeling quite mad now. And want to hunt Gappu down. Side note: Historians have claimed that Gappu doesn’t really exist, and the legendary character is actually a singer called Bhanu Sharma, who worked with WeAreHolidays for just two months. Professor Priyanka Jain says that it was the continuous jokes about Gappu’s beard and long t-shirts that were the first clues that led her to this hypothesis. On being found and questioned, Bhanu Sharma only retorted with a “Chal naaa” in a sing song girly voice. He is currently trying to woo a girl he met in a rafting camp in Rishikesh.
