Worried about finding that perfect place where everyone in your family can enjoy on a vacation? It always so happens that someone will end up missing out on some fun while travelling with the entire family. A holiday, if not planned wisely can end up in a disaster - the children can be bored; the parents mind-numbingly going from one theme park to another theme park, or the teenagers wishing they had a beach instead of a museum. Contrary to this idea, a vacation with the family can be much more fun.

We have listed down some places that have it all, for all in the family– so they’re perfect to pick if you’re planning to take your brood on holiday. Take a look…

1. Sentosa Island, Singapore

Yes, Sentosa Island is on this list. It’s no secret that the island in Singapore is super child-friendly, adult friendly and perfect for the entire family. From the uber famous Dolphin Lagoon to the sand beaches, fun activities and theme parks, there’s something for everyone to do on Singapore’s most buzzing island.

2. Oahu, Hawaii

Beach destinations are often the best places to go with your family and of all the places in Hawaii, Oahu is one of the most fun because apart from all the surfing and water sports, there’s a variety of natural wonders to see here. You can visit parks, gardens, and the famous pineapple maze and learn about the Polynesian culture with tours.

3. Bali, Indonesia

Think of visiting Indonesia with the entire family, instead of just heading over for a romantic vacation. Sure, Bali is beautiful and it’s a great place for couples, but did you know there’s a crazy water park called Waterbom that has the most thrilling rides? There are also several children’s clubs, quad bike activities and a safari and marine park where the family can learn more about the land and the animals there.

4. Berlin, Germany

There’s a huge biking culture here and you will have a great time cycling around on rented bicycles – they have different sizes so you can pick the perfect ones! There’s a very active art scene, great food and a zoo story that’s built on an 18th century pheasantry, rich with cultural and historical significance, connected to the King of Prussia!

5. Copenhagen, Denmark

The destination is perfect for families – and it’s not only because it was repeatedly referred to by children’s author HC Anderson! It’s home to one of the best Legoland installations, so whether you’ve got children who are tiny tots or parents who want to revisit their childhood along with you, this is the perfect spot. The entire city is very family-friendly as a destination and is filled with fairytale statues (don’t miss out on seeing the Little Mermaid statue) or walking around enchanted gardens and taking a ride at a fairground (Tivoli Gardens).

6. Tokyo, Japan

If you think of a stereotypical Tokyo, you’d probably think of people rushing around in suits, getting to and from work in the busy city. However, when you’re in Tokyo, it’s possible to have a really different experience. After all, the land of anime, comics, Hello Kitty and tech wonders is like a playground for children, teenagers and even adults! You can indulge in some cosplay, visit the observatory, go to amusement parks such as Korakuen and even visit the ice skating rinks.

7. Williamsburg, Virginia, USA

You know why we love this little town in Virginia? It’s because it’s not only steeped in colonial history, it’s also a lot of fun! The entire town takes part in a little bit of the history and has several plantations and recreations of what the town was like in the 1700s. You can dress up; watch people who are dressed up, pretend to live life as they would way back then and even celebrate with the townspeople. Children, adults… everyone can have a little fun here.

8. Florida, USA

Sure, Florida is great for those who want a little Miami sunshine on their holiday. However, it’s also a brilliant place for children to explore. There are rollercoaster rides, national parks, hikes, treks and a host of activities for the entire family – you can see why it’s called the Sunshine State; it’s not just the temperature that will make you smile here! There are informative activities such as the space program, and let’s not forget the one place in Florida that can treat the entire family – Disney World!

9. Burgazada, Turkey

It used to be a pretty well-kept secret, but it’s now one of the most sought after vacation spots in Turkey. Home to several islands that are great to visit with family, Turkey also houses several Princes’ Islands. The one we’re going to suggest you here is Burgazada, because it’s calm, peaceful and a great place to bond with the entire family. You can take ferry and horse rides, take a dip in the gorgeous swimming pools, learn about the island on family tours and take a cruise around the island.

10. Chiang Mai, Thailand

Chiang Mai in Thailand is a food lover’s paradise, a historian’s dream and a child’s playground. It’s a melting pot of culture, arts and activity, with a host of things that you can do every day for the duration of your stay. There are tours for adults, bamboo raft trips and elephant rides for kids and cooking classes for the culinary enthusiasts.

11. Kent, England

Have you ever wanted to take your children on a fishing trip, but don’t really want to rough it out while you fish? Kent, in England, is the perfect place for you then. It’s a tourist hotspot, has the most delectable oysters for adults to indulge in and a huge beach for children to play on – as well as a plethora of fishing boats, cycles and scooters for the more adventurous. They have special seaside huts (they’re called Fishermen’s Huts) that you can stay in as well – and trust us; they’re not what you expect when you think of a hut.

12. Dublin, Irland

We really love Dublin, since it’s got some great things for the entire family to do. Those who want a little bit of culture can head to places like the National Museum of Ireland, while those who love animals can head to the Dublin Zoo. There’s a bit of history at the Kimainham Gaol and there are lots and lots of children’s activities from model railways to a puppet theatre, adventure world and Chocolate Warehouse – that even adults will enjoy.

With activities for young and old alike – there’s no reason to delay planning your next trip to one of these destinations immediately!
