Adlabs Imagica, touted to be South Asia’s largest theme park, opened to public today six years after the project was first conceptualized. Spread across 110 acres near Khopoli on the Mumbai-Pune expressway, it incorporates some of the world’s most sophisticated technology including 4D simulation.
The rides are designed to recreate experiences from around the world, and include Indian themes. The park can accommodate 20,000 visitors at a time. It will present multiple animation and live-action films—a live action horror called ‘Curse of Salimgarh’; a Bollywood classic, ‘Mr. India’; and a love story called ‘Prince of the Dark Waters’, among others. Future plans include developing a 300-room hotel and a water park. The hotel is expected to be operational by December, and the waterpark by June 2014.
Speaking at the launch today, Manmohan Shetty, Chairman, Adlabs Entertainment Ltd., said, “Today is a proud moment for each one of us associated with the project. It was our vision to create an entertainment theme park of international standards in India and I am positive that this park will provide and immersive and wholesome family entertainment experience, something that each Indian will take immense pride in.”
“We are looking at setting up another attraction based on another popular Bollywood movie. The plan is to add a new attraction a year to keep people coming back to the park,” Shetty added. “Along with entertainment, safety is vital for Adlabs Imagica. Every single ride here has been designed by leading manufactures and has gone through multiple tests before being launched to the public.”
Adlabs Entertainment is also looking at setting up a second theme park in Hyderabad by the end of the year.
First of all I would like to say terrific blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing. I’ve
had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there.
I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the
first 10 to 15 minutes are usually wasted simply just
trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints?
Appreciate it!
Well, first of all THANK YOU!!
Writing can be a gamble sometimes, the words are always there, but the thoughts and ideas come in varying intervals, like the rain. I wudn call those those first 10-15 mins a waste, they are the most important; structuring your thoughts and getting into the right frame of mind.
Somedays it may just be 5mins, others may take upto half an hour, maybe more; don hate the crucial minutes, savor them!
