To be developed in the northern end of the Kullu Valley, the project will have facilities located at levels between 7500 to 14000 above sea level. Himalayan Ski Village will be planned along the lines of a resort on over 100 hectares of land and will have 700+ hotel rooms, 300 villas, 150 condominiums, spa facilities, a convention center, shops and restaurants. An ‘Indian village’ shopping experience will possibly be included as well, along with a culture and performing arts centre. Ecologically sustainable practices such as compacting, recycling of water, and conversion of solid waste to sludget for use in gardening shall be encouraged at the location.
Spread across 115 acres of land, the resort will offer a quality holiday experience to as many as 4500 guests at a time. The destination aims to draw tourists not only from India but from outside the nation as well. Promoted as Manali’s year-round travel destination, the project will greatly boost the state’s tourism.
The resort will offer a range of adventure sports beside skiing, like paragliding, mountaineering, white water rafting, mountain biking and parasailing.
