A simulated city with real-world establishments like banks and universities, with role playing options like pilot and policeman. This one’s for the kids, the parents sit this one out.

The indoor park has opened on the 3rd floor of R City Mall, Ghatkopar West. It is a city built to scale for children, complete with paved roads and cars, city buildings, recognisable establishments and a functioning economy. It features 60-plus real-world establishments and 80-plus role-playing options aimed at helping children develop real life skills.

KidZania Mumbai is the 14th operational centre of KidZania in the world as India joins countries like Chile, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Portugal, South Korea, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. Unique to KidZania Mumbai are one-of-a-kind establishments like the Bollywood Acting Academy, Pottery Studio, KalaShetra Art (Culture Club) and Dabbawala (boxed Lunch Delivery service).

The entry for babies below two years is free of cost and the ticket prices for children between the age group of 4 to 16 is Rs 800 from Friday to Sunday and Rs 950 on public holidays. The cost for adults above 16 years of age is Rs 600 from Tuesday to Thursday and Rs 700 from Friday to Sunday and public holidays. The entry fee for toddlers above two years but below four years of age from Tuesday to Thursday is Rs 600 and from Friday to Sunday and public holidays  Rs 700.

I am delighted to declare the KidZania Mumbai is now open. We are proud to be a part of this creative and hands-on experience which encourages self-development, community awareness and collaboration. We look forward to empowering children through role play activities where they learn while having fun, and welcomes them to come and have a great experience along with family and friends.

Sanjeev Kumar, CEO of KidZania Mumbai

The press conference included  Xavier Lopez Ancona (President & Global CEO of KidZania), Paras Chandaria (Director Comcraft group & Co-Promoter KidZania Mumbai) and Shah Rukh Khan (Actor and Co-Promoter KidZania Mumbai) who formally addressed the crowd on KidZania’s journey to Mumbai.

After the Q&A, the sirens of a fire truck alarmed all those present. The dignitaries rushed to the fire truck, to the aid of the kids role-playing as fire fighters, to douse the ‘Hotel on Flames’ and thus the media and press got a firsthand experience of what the kids would experience in the city of KidZania.
