So you’ve been talking about it forever and you tried making plans but nothing really worked out? Well, that’s ok, it’s happened to a lot of us and besides, it’s probably better this way. Who wants to be stampeded in the crowds and get cursed by the Brazilians, who apparently aren’t very pleased with the whole scenario? You can now immerse yourself in all 12 of Brazil’s World Cup stadiums with your bank balance intact!

Google, on Thursday, released their Google Maps Street View package specifically for the World Cup. You can now explore all 12 of the World Cup stadiums from the comfort of your home - from Manaus’ white dome in the Amazon to Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana set among the city’s jungle-covered hills.

You can also roam through Brazil’s ‘graffitied’ streets, a World Cup tradition of theirs, and check out many of the country’s top tourist sights, like Iguaçu National Park and St. Michael of the Missions.

There are also goodies for those who are going to make it! The mobile app has been amped to include transit data in all of the 12 World Cup host cities — this could come in handy when you’re lost in dense crowds. Google has also added indoor maps to more than 100 venues across the country, including airports, malls, and inside the World Cup stadiums.

Google Street View program manager, Deanna Yick,  in a blog post:

“The World Cup is the biggest global sports tournament, and whether you’re watching the games from the comfort of your couch or packing your bags for Brazil, Google Maps is your ticket to the World Cup.”
